Newly purchased generator sets have a running-in period, just like buying a car. - During operation, especially when the load is suddenly reduced, care should be taken to prevent the diesel engine speed from suddenly increasing due to governor failure, which is also commonly known as “flying”. Once it exceeds the specified value, emergency measures should be taken quickly, and then the cause should be found out.
- The running-in plan of the diesel generator set should be considered according to the different uses and towing methods of the diesel engine. Note that the running time of idling or under-load conditions at the beginning of the running-in should not be too long.
